The ratio of contemporary to traditional styling options is probably 80/20ish. Some you can sort of force to work for that because of how customizable things are (probably the app’s best feature), but it would be great if they added more. There are a few options if you want a traditional style home with an antique aesthetic, but very few. Better and more than that- but leaning heavily that way. As others have said, the general selection of furnishings/decor is primarily modern, almost ikea style. I can’t see any way to add a basement and that is crucial to my designs. But I do hope they broaden the options for both architecture and furnishings/decor. This is almost exactly what I was looking for. It’s just lacking a lot of things, but overall the furniture in general needs more options, it needs to be easier to make dormers, and basements need to be available. You can’t edit or add railings, and to have railings on both sides, you have to do the mirror image of it and turn it, putting them each on top of each other. I absolutely loathe the stair options, especially because I use the geometrical shapes to make front porches, and there’s only one set of short stairs, with no railings, so you have to get really creative. Furniture in general is lacking, especially childrens furniture, chairs, everything in the kitchen, and STAIRS. Speaking of wall decor, it’s really lacking there.

Being able to go online to download a photo and use that as a textile has been great! But I wish there were ways to make something mirrored - a lot of “in-style” furniture nowadays has mirrors on it, such as credenzas, the tops of side tables, wall decor, etc. When I build the houses I build, which are real homes, I have to just build the basement on the top story. I love that you can do multiple stories now, but I’d really appreciate a basement option. I’ve been playing it for easily 5-6 years - before you could even do a second story! You’d have to literally put a staircase that that wouldn’t go anywhere and your blueprint next to it would be the upstairs.
